Today is the last day where we will be using the book, "We're Going on a Nature Hunt," and finishing up our Creative Writing activity.

Creative Writing
Today, your child should aim to complete their Creative Writing activity. However, if they would like to continue working on it to make it even better during the weekend, do praise and encourage them! Otherwise, it should take around 10 - 15 minutes to complete Part 2 of their Creative Writing activity today.
Option 1
Go on a Nature Walk with an adult.
Part 1: Go on a Nature Walk and record what you see.
Part 2: Make a scavenger hunt list with the things you saw on your walk.
Tips:
Divide a piece of paper so there is space for each thing you saw on your walk.
Draw a picture then write what it is.
Don't forget to include a checkbox so people can use it when they go on their own Nature Walk!
Adaptation: Have someone help you scribe (you say, they write).
Extension: Write a descriptive sentence for each thing you saw.
Option 2
Create a board game using different places in nature.
Part 1: Create your board game.
Part 2: Create rules for your board game and play it.
Tips:
How can you make your game easier? Harder?
Test play through it each time you make a new rule or change old ones. Does it work well?
Have someone help you test play your board game.
Adaptation: Have someone scribe the rules for you (you say, they write).
Extension: Make a rule book or a Game Manual for your board game.
Extension: Create an advertisement (ad) promoting your board game! It can be a poster or a video.
Message from Ms. Zhu
It is Mother's Day this Sunday, so I would like to take this time to thank all the people in a mother's role currently and doing their best everyday. Happy Mother's Day! Don't forget to upload a picture of your child's work or of your child working on their e-Portfolios on Portal. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
