Directions

Look at the picture with your child.
Ask your child questions about the picture.
Record (e.g. paper, typed, voice) what your child says and send it to Ms. Zhu.

Questions

Tell me about the picture. What do you see? What is going on?
Why is the girl inside the jar? How did she get there?
Does she have everything she needs inside the jar?
Why is the cat looking at her?
What do you think will happen next?

Adaptations

Provide sentence starters for your child. e.g. "I see...," "I think... because..."
Have your child draw what they think will happen next.

Extensions

Find a jar or basket (something to hold things) and fill it with things that you think you will need and share why you chose these things.
