Suggested Vocabulary
Hedgehog, bush, leaves, hands, emotion words (e.g. worried, scared, afraid, etc.), hiding
Questions
Tell me about the picture. What do you see? What is going on?
Where is the hedgehog?
What is it doing?
How is it feeling? How do you know?
Why is the hedgehog there? Why is it alone?
Adaptations
Provide sentence starters for your child. e.g. "I see...," "I think... because..."
Have your child draw what they think happened before or will happen next.
Extensions
Draw yourself with the hedgehog. What are you and the hedgehog doing? Talk about it.
