Picture Prompt 014

Directions

  1. Look at the picture with your child.

  2. Ask your child questions about the picture.

  3. Record (e.g. paper, typed, voice) what your child says and send it to Ms. Zhu.

Suggested Vocabulary

Boy/girl, dog, space, spaceship, rocket, astronaut, spacesuit, moon, craters, stars


Questions

  1. Tell me about the picture. What do you see? What is going on?

  2. Where are they? How do you know?

  3. Where did they come from?

  4. Why did they come to the moon?

  5. What will they do?


Adaptations

  • Provide sentence starters for your child. e.g. "I see...," "I think... because..."

  • Have your child draw what they think happened before or will happen next.


Extensions

  • Draw a picture of who or what you think they will meet. Talk about it.
