Questions
Tell me about the picture. What do you see? What is going on?
What are the creatures doing?
How are they the same and how are they different?
Are they butterflies, fireflies, or something else?
What are they saying to each other?
Adaptations
Provide sentence starters for your child. e.g. "I see...," "I think... because..."
Have your child draw what they think happened before or will happen next.
Extensions
Have you seen a butterfly before? If so, what did it look like? If not, what do you think it would look like? Draw a picture and talk about it.
